Attire

A grape variety of Minho origin, probably from the sub-region of Monção and Melgaço, it is planted in almost the entire Vinho Verde region, with the exception of the sub-region of Baião. Highly productive, its cycle is long, showing early budbreak and late ripening ; the bunches, in turn, are compact and the berries are yellowish-green in color.

It offers intense aromas and soft flavors of apple, ripe pear, peach or apricot, with a touch of orange blossom. Unlike its regional white grape counterparts, Trajadura is known for its low acidity and high alcoholic ripeness, so it's natural that, in general, we see it more often in blends, particularly with more complex varieties like Alvarinho, and less often as a single varietal. In fact, its elegance and softness allow it to catapult the wines in which it is integrated to new heights. The best example of this is Quinta da Raza Alvarinho-Trajadura(a blend considered by many to be "a marriage made in heaven"), perhaps the most consensual wine in our production and the most awarded in various national and international competitions. Trajadura can also be found in Raza Branco, in great harmony with Arinto and Azal. However, it is not beyond the reach of Trajadura to produce beautiful single varietal wines. Anyone who has fallen in love with our Raza Pet-Nat Branco, where aromas of wild yeast and orchard fruit emerge, can tell you that.
