In this Christmas recipe, which represents the typical Portuguese Christmas, we have combined with this dish the intensity, sharing and family flavour that our Avesso / Alvarinho wine symbolizes so well!

INGREDIENTS
- 4 onions
- 400g potatoes
- 4 carrots
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 bay leaf
- 4 eggs
- 4 slices of soaked cod
- 400g cooked chickpeas
- 500g of Portuguese cabbage and
- 200g sprouts
- Olive oil and vinegar to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste

PREPARATION
- Boil the eggs in salted water for 10 minutes and set aside at the end.
- In a separate pan, cook the cod in boiling water for 5 minutes with two quartered onions, the garlic, bay leaf, pepper and salt to taste.
- Remove the cod and set aside.
- Add the peeled and chopped potatoes and carrots to the cod water and cook for 3 minutes.
- Add the Portuguese cabbage and sprouts to the same boiling water and boil for 15 minutes. If necessary, adjust the seasoning.
- In a separate pan, heat the cooked chickpeas with salt to taste and a drizzle of olive oil.
- Peel the eggs, drain the water from the chickpeas and the water from the rest of the mixture.
- Place all the ingredients on a platter, with the bottom drizzled with olive oil.
